Trip cost

Tezser is a carpooling (ride-sharing) service. The Passenger reimburses the Driver for part of the trip expenses (the “cost-share”), while the Platform charges the Passenger a Service fee for information and technology services. The cost-share is due to the Driver in full — the Platform withholds nothing from it. There is no fixed price list (tariff).

How the cost is calculated

The cost-share amount is calculated automatically based on the route distance between the pick-up and drop-off points. The total amount payable — the cost-share plus the Service fee — is shown in the Tezser mobile app with the fee itemized separately: when searching for a ride companion, first as a preliminary estimate; when booking a scheduled trip, as the exact amount before it is confirmed. The total amount depends on the length of the specific trip.

Service fee

For using the Platform (matching co-travellers and arranging the trip) a Service fee of 15% of the cost-share amount is charged; the Service fee so calculated is rounded to a whole tenge. The Service fee is paid by the Passenger on top of the cost-share: the Platform withholds nothing from the amount due to the Driver. For example, with a cost-share of 500 ₸ the Service fee is 75 ₸, the amount payable is 575 ₸, and the Driver receives 500 ₸. The Service fee is a payment for the Platform’s information services, not a payment for transportation and not a “tariff”.

Payment

Payment is made cashless — by bank card. Payment and card-data processing is carried out by a licensed payment service provider; the Platform does not store full bank card data.

Where to see the exact amount

The total amount payable for a specific trip (the cost-share plus the Service fee) is shown in the Tezser mobile app as separate line items. The terms and cost of a paid Subscription (if any) are communicated to the User on the Platform before payment.
